We, at The London Magazine, are hosting a short story competition that will finish at the end of this month and we were hoping you might publicise it on your blog so, if your followers are interested, they can enter.

First prize: £500 and publication in the magazine

Second prize: £300 and publication on website

Third prize: £200 and publication on website

The entry fee is £10 and the winner will be announced at the House of Commons. The winners will be invited to the House of Commons.

A fail of epic proportions.

Spamming exclamations marks (for example) does not help to show extra excitement; rather, you appear as an overly enthusiastic 13-year-old that has just discovered MSN (or whatever people use these days).

To be clear: one period is used for ending sentences, and three for ellipsis. Two just looks like a mistake.

Sorry I haven’t been posting much

I went away for a week. Will make some more tomorrow when I have some time.

On a random side note, did somebody promote this blog or something? I normally don’t pay much attention to this stuff, but my follower count absolutely exploded while I was away, so I’m a tad confused. Answer me, new followers: how did you find this blog?

EDIT: Well, that was quick. Thanks, Shannah - I got scared for a second there!
